Capture the Light: Greenport Camera Obscura Workshop
Join us for an immersive photography experience inside the historic Greenport Camera Obscura at Mitchell Park. In this free workshop—made possible by the Friends of Mitchell Park—you will use the historic camera obscura structure itself to compose and expose three large black-and-white photographic papers.
Participants will explore the historical timeline of optics, understand camera aperture mechanics, and learn the core principles of classic pinhole photography. All materials are included, and the instructor will handle off-site development. Your scanned images will be delivered via email or made available for later pickup.
Workshop Schedule: Sessions are 1 hour long (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM). Rain dates are scheduled for the following Sunday.
